A Timeline
The Founding
A group of North Texas sportsmen establishes The Northshore Club on the newly formed shores of Lake Lewisville. The original property is secured and the first trap field is constructed.
The Marina Opens
The original boat dock is expanded into a full marina, opening Lake Lewisville access to sailing, fishing, and water skiing for club members.
The Clubhouse
The permanent clubhouse is constructed, giving the club its first dedicated gathering space for dinners, meetings, and the post-shoot fellowship that becomes a Northshore tradition.
Conservation Begins
The club formally adopts a conservation charter, committing to the preservation of native habitat on the property. Wildlife management practices are established.
Five-Stand Installed
A championship-grade five-stand course is added to the shooting range, expanding the variety of clay target sports available to members.
Firewise Designation
The Northshore Club earns designation as a Texas Firewise Community, recognizing its ongoing work in native habitat preservation and wildfire risk reduction.
Facility Renovation
A comprehensive renovation of the marina, pool area, and clubhouse brings the property's facilities into the modern era while preserving its heritage character.
Seventh Decade
The Northshore Club enters its eighth decade with a renewed commitment to the sporting traditions, conservation values, and family fellowship that have defined it since 1953.
